Rusev was once part of an intense feud with John Cena which saw both men raise the profile of the United States Championship. The Bulgarian Brute, much like Lashley has since been lowered to a soap opera style feud with Lana over the past few months since Mike and Maria Kanellis requested their WWE release.

Rusev has proved numerous times that he has what it takes to be one of the company's top dogs and now that his issues with Lana and Bobby Lashley look to be a thing of the past, there is nothing stopping Rusev from moving forward.

Rusev's future in WWE is somewhat uncertain at present and it's hard to blame the star for not wanting to re-sign with WWE, after the losses that he has had to put up with throughout this somewhat embarrassing feud.

The former United States Champion needs to become The Bulgarian Brute once again and there would be no better way of doing this than allowing Rusev to test his mettle against Brock Lesnar in Saudi Arabia.
