#1 Drew McIntyre vs Jinder Mahal (WWE Championship)
Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins delivered the match of the night at Money in the Bank. McIntyre looked like a true champion as he defeated Rollins with the Claymore Kick. WWE has done a fantastic job of booking McIntyre so far. He has been dominant against all his opponents. We saw that McIntyre shook hands with Rollins after their match in what looked like the end of their feud.
After RAW, it looks like Rollins and McIntyre are on different paths now. So, who can challenge McIntyre at Backlash? It could be The Modern Day Maharaja Jinder Mahal. We saw a backstage interview on RAW in which Mahal talked about his return. During the interview, Mahal said that he is happy for his long-time friend McIntyre who has finally achieved his biggest goal. Mahal said that he is also looking to get back to the top.
This promo is not a significant reason to say that Mahal will go after McIntyre. But the match could still happen. This could be a teaser for what is about to come. Mahal and McIntyre have a history since they were stablemates as part of 3MB. The story is there and the match can surely happen between the two at Backlash. Moreover, McIntyre needs someone to feud with before having bigger fish to fry at SummerSlam.
