Like Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn has been doing well for himself lately. He has enjoyed consistent screen time throughout his 2020 and 2021 runs, even having two Intercontinental title reigns last year.
Kevin Owens is Sami Zayn's best friend and him re-signing with WWE may indeed help the company retain Zayn's services. He has been a consistently entertaining part of WWE TV, and it wouldn't be surprising if he has already been offered a contract.
As of this writing, Sami Zayn's WWE contract expires in less than half a month. It's a short space of time to make such a big decision, but it's likely something that both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have thought about.
