Ronda Rousey shocked the world when she made her WWE debut back at the 2018 Royal Rumble event and went on to sign a full-time contract with the company. Rousey didn't wrestle her first match with WWE until WrestleMania 34 later in the year where she was initially scheduled to team up with The Rock against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

The four stars were part of a segment back at WrestleMania 31 where Rousey made it clear that it was "her ring" before disposing of both McMahon and Triple H. The company pushed for the match to go ahead in the years that followed and finally seemed to have a plan in 2018.

The Rock was seemingly happy to appear at WrestleMania but because he was injured in his last match back at WrestleMania 32, he was reluctant to wrestle. This meant that Kurt Angle was the man chosen to replace The Rock and team with Ronda Rousey instead.

The duo was able to defeat The Authority and Ronda Rousey was the highlight of the night on her debut.
