The match saw Lesnar completely destroying Orton and leaving him in a pool of his own blood. Lesnar was awarded the victory, after which he proceeded to hit an F5 on Shane McMahon who had come to check on Orton.
After the match, Chris Jericho was seething in anger at what had just happened. Jericho later explained that no one had told him that this was the original plan for the match and he was upset at the beating Lesnar gave Orton. He showed concern for The Viper and asked him if the finish was planned. This aggravated Brock Lesnar after he came backstage.
Both Superstars yelled at each other and Jericho later stated that he was planning to bite Lesnar's nose off. Things didn't turn ugly though, as Vince McMahon and Triple H calmed things down. McMahon wasn't happy at Jericho's outburst and told him that the entire match was a 'work'.
