Actually, Kofi and John Cena were trying to eliminate him but Riley lost his grip and fell off the ring. When this happened, Cena was left stunned as Riley was the wrestler who would have eliminated him from the match later.
But, the 16-time champion handled everything perfectly and later got eliminated by The Miz who was not even in the match.
This 40 man Royal Rumble match was won by Alberto Del Rio who then challenged Edge for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania.
