Abadon's second AEW match has become a sensation amongst Pro-Wrestling fans.
It's no secret that AEW's Women's Division has been through some rough times since the promotion's inception, and the division lacks a group of formidable characters, with Britt Baker being an exception.
Abadon's outlandish gimmick and surreal entrance certainly set her apart from several other characters in the company. She defeated Anna Jay in singles competition, where Jay was actually the favorite to win since she got her own promo package before the match.
Later, several Dark Order members came out and escorted Jay backstage, which seems a little early for her to join a faction such as The Dark Order. Anna Jay is only 21 years old and she has a bright future ahead of her, but it felt like AEW were going to capitalize on her as a separate character.
Now, it seems like she's going to be integrated with The Dark Order pretty soon instead.
AEW's women can certainly put on great matches and Hikaru Shida symbolizes that very idea. But the better character always makes a bigger impact from a long-term standpoint.
