#3: Taz re-introduced his old FTW Heavyweight Championship belt and handed it to Brian Cage
Nyla Rose wasn't wrong when she claimed that AEW Superstars with managers have better luck in this industry than those who don't. There are factions, teams, and Superstars with managers all around this promotion, and those alliances come with benefits as well.
Brian Cage just became a new titleholder thanks to his manager, Taz. The FTW Heavyweight Championship was originated in ECW to compensate for storylines that had to be compromised due to injuries, even though it is not an officially sanctioned title by any means. In 2020, Jon Moxley is the AEW World Champion, and due to real-life circumstances, his match against Cage just keeps getting delayed at the moment.
So Taz took the liberty to re-introduce the FTW Heavyweight Championship in a situation like this, which seems like a promising idea when you think about it.
Now that Moxley vs. Cage is scheduled for AEW Fight For The Fallen next week, it will be interesting to see if the FTW Heavyweight Title influences the outcome of their upcoming bout.
