#2: Big Swole got suspended by Tony Khan because she kidnapped Dr. Britt Baker
Tony Khan and Big Swole's Twitter thread following Night 2 of AEW Fyter Fest is probably the silliest thing in Pro-Wrestling I have witnessed this week thus far.
Well, maybe Big Swole and Britt Baker's arc on this AEW show was the same in terms of silliness as well.
"Kidnapping" has been a bizarre tradition in Pro-Wrestling history, and AEW is no different. From a personal standpoint, it's not really an issue for me if AEW breaks away from their sports-based presentation every now and then, since we all know that entertainment is an essential ingredient for any mainstream Pro-Wrestling show.
Also, I love what Britt Baker has been doing on the sidelines in recent times, but in this case, the whole "kidnapping" angle was presented comically. So for Tony Khan to suck that energy out of the whole thing by suspending the babyface introduces unnecessary rules to the product.
The suspension added a real-world sense to AEW, but then again, the kayfabe world has seen Superstars committing real-world crimes on a weekly basis, so I don't really know if this was a good idea or not.
