At the beginning of the show, Cody defeated Darby Allin through a pretty creative finish.
Cody had been the odds-on favorite to reach the finals round all along. Dustin Rhodes and Lance Archer were the other two candidates who fought each other in the main event of the night.
Even at the age of 51, Dustin Rhodes can perform on the same level as the regular roster. This is an impressive feat. But something even more impressive is when you see two big guys putting on a very good match in 2020.
Rhodes struggled against an overly-dominant Archer. The veteran battled to a point where Cody and QT Marshall debated on whether or not to throw the towel in.
Lance Archer had set his sights on Cody when he first arrived on the scene with Jake Roberts. Roberts and Archer's first few appearances foreshadowed that a finals contest between Cody and The Murder Hawk Monster was inevitable.
It is great to see that big men like Brodie Lee, Wardlow, and Lance Archer have been dominating the rest of the roster in a company that is often stereotyped for catering towards high-flyers and wrestlers of smaller stature.
