#1: Cody successfully defended his TNT title in a bloody match with Jungle Boy
The main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite saw the TNT title being defended for the first time on television.
Jungle Boy had secured his unique opportunity after winning a Battle Royal in the previous week. He will go down in AEW history as the first in line to challenge Cody’s title reign as the latter opened the gates for weekly open challenges.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
This was certainly an intense match for two babyfaces. Cody became a bloody mess when he missed Jungle Boy and head-butted the wall. Both of them also crashed through a table, and you know a match is good when other wrestlers are genuinely engaged throughout the bout.
Cody showed ample sportsmanship with Jungle Boy after the match was over, and it was certainly a great way to end this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
Cody vs. Jungle Boy was meant to be intense to set a good standard for the future, and it also helps in drawing more viewers as Cody defends his TNT title against Private Party’s Marq Quen on next week’s AEW Dynamite.
