AEW conducted a Battle Royal Match to determine the first Superstar who will get an opportunity to face Cody for the TNT title on next week's episode.

MJF was the clear favorite going into this bout, and we even saw a pre-match video where MJF made sure that Wardlow will be at his side. However, if it came down to both of them, MJF wanted to ensure that his bodyguard will step away. Wardlow wasn't too sure that would be the case.

We never got to see what would actually happen if it came down to MJF and Wardlow in the end, because they got eliminated earlier, and it was Jungle Boy who eliminated Orange Cassidy in a creative finish to secure a future TNT title match on AEW Dynamite.
