#2: Matt Hardy's confrontation with Randy Orton may have been his final WWE appearance as of now
Despite their controversial history, Matt Hardy stood up for Edge in a confrontation with Randy Orton during the episode.
The fact that both Edge and Matt have moved on from their real-life past differences was a great touch to a storyline that already blurs the lines between fiction and reality.
But what irked a lot of fans is that this may have been Matt Hardy's final appearance on Monday Night RAW for now.
Orton and Hardy started brawling after Matt's monologue, and this fiasco ended with The Viper delivering a con-chair shot to Hardy's head.
We know that Matt’s WWE contract will expire on March 1.
The chair shot to Matt's head - similar to what Orton did to Edge - might be WWE's way of writing Matt Hardy off TV until his contract eventually expires.
The major hurdle between Matt and WWE officials has been creative differences over his onscreen character.
So even though Edge and Randy Orton's program is red hot at the moment, it seems sad that Matt Hardy was used as a sacrificial lamb in what may have been his final appearance on Monday Night RAW.
