The Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match was a very peculiar way to start WWE Super ShowDown.
R-Truth unexpectedly made his way through the match via happy accidents. Truth eliminated Bobby Lashley, Andrade and Erick Rowan (who got himself disqualified) before succumbing to The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles.
AJ Styles played around for a while in standard heel fashion, but the Saudi audience were simply in awe of one of the best performers from the current WWE roster.
Rey Mysterio was supposed to come out after Styles pinned R-Truth, but The O.C. (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) had ganged up on the high-flying veteran backstage. Before AJ Styles could be declared the victor though, a seemingly unknown person had single-handedly beat up Gallows & Anderson in the back.
As a pair of boots walked past the frame, fans quickly recognized that the rumors about The Undertaker's potential feud with AJ Styles were true.
In short fashion, The Undertaker choke-slammed Styles and successfully pinned him to win The Tuwaiq Trophy.
This whole fiasco will probably result in a singles match at WrestleMania 36 soon, and who better than AJ Styles to carry The Undertaker towards a great match at this stage of his career?
