WWE pitted Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair, and Natalya in a triple threat match to determine the #1 contender for Asuka's RAW Women's Championship.

Charlotte Flair has made her presence felt on the Red brand, and perhaps that is why WWE chose to put her into this contest, to begin with. On top of that, Charlotte's presence always draws attention towards any Women's Division.

Nia Jax was the most obvious pick from this match after her recent tiff with The Kabuki Warriors on last week's episode.

But Natalya's inclusion was a head-scratching choice on WWE's part. She lost to Shayna Baszler in a submission match last week, so by logic, The Queen of Spades should have received this opportunity instead.

But WWE works in mysterious ways, and the most obvious explanation would be that Natalya was there to get successfully pinned by Nia Jax.

Asuka's commentary was a fun addition to this triple threat bout, and it finally feels like the RAW Women's Division is trending again.
