AEW has done an exceptional job when it comes to building their roster as they have hold of some of the most amazing and rising stars in the world of pro-wrestling. These stars are surely popular for the hardcore audience, but the more casual fans might not have even heard about most of them.

On the contrary, WWE has so many big and popular names on their roster who have the potential to sell any arena on any given day. The star power of the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker, The Rock, and many more is something that AEW can never compete with in WWE.
While AEW does intend to be a company that gives a platform to the up and coming talent of pro wrestling, to overcome or even get closer to the level of popularity of WWE, they need to target a much larger audience and not just the limited hardcore fans.
Having the likes of Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose is a good start, but there is a long way to go for AEW.
