Bobby Lashley retained his WWE Championship after a brutal match against Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman. The All Mighty arrived in style on Monday night and MVP issued an open challenge on his behalf.

While it looked like Shelton Benjamin, Damian Priest or Cedric Alexander would answer the open challenge, it was Kofi Kingston who came out for his second match of the night. With the help of McIntyre, Kingston was able to pin the WWE Champion on RAW.

This was fantastic booking that allowed Lashley to pick up his first loss in months. The loss will not hurt The All Mighty’s image as the WWE Champion at all.

But will Kingston get a shot at Lashley’s title following his massive victory? Will WWE build this storyline leading to a big match between the two men at Hell in a Cell?

Kingston enjoyed a good WWE Championship reign not too long ago. He would do well to keep Lashley busy for some time while giving fans something new to look forward to. Giving Kingston a couple of WWE Championship matches won’t be a bad idea at this point.
