#1 Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair were the first women to main event WrestleMania
2018-19 has been historic for women's wrestling. Last year, we witnessed the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match, the first-ever Last Woman Standing Match, and also the first-ever all female pay-per-view, Evolution.
One of the biggest accomplishments in wrestling history included women main eventing WrestleMania for the first time ever. On 'The Grandest Stage of Them All,' Ronda Rousey defended her RAW Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
Rousey was scheduled to take time off after the event, so her loss was almost certain, but that didn't diminish the historic event. WrestleMania 35 came to a close with Lynch becoming ‘Becky 2 Belts,’ as she pinned 'The Rowdy One' and captured both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships. It was the first time women closed WrestleMania and it would have been an insult to wrestling fans all around the world, if we hadn’t included this feat in our list.
