Is Drew Mcintyre better than Roman Reigns?
Is Drew Mcintyre better than Roman Reigns?

In what was an enjoyable edition of Monday Night Raw from Boston, WWE advanced the narrative for WrestleMania 35 and confirmed most of the rumored matches that were doing the rounds.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news and rumors.

Judging by the looks of it, Roman Reigns' blockbuster slug-fest with Drew Mcintyre is getting some significant spotlight on the red brand with The Big Dog now officially accepting the former NXT Champion's challenge for a match at The Show of Shows.

The flagship show began with the women's division taking center stage as Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair in an interesting Beat the Clock challenge against respective members of The Riott Squad.

On the other side of the tracks, Finn Balor's victory in a handicap match against Bobby Lashley and Jinder Mahal has now cemented his position as the ideal challenger for the Intercontinental Championship heading into WrestleMania 35.

Furthermore, Kurt Angle's farewell tour in Boston saw The Olympic Gold Medalist go one-on-one against The United States Champion, Samoa Joe. Whilst Angle's tussle with Baron Corbin still remains intact, his victory over Joe raised quite the eyes on social media.

Even monitoring the Dean Ambrose situation here. The Lunatic Fringe is not expected to be a part of any storyline heading into The Showcase of the Immortals and his loss in a Last Man Standing match only looks like a final nail in the coffin.

Another major update surrounding Triple H Vs. Batista saw The Game put his entire career on the line in what certainly looks like one of the most anticipated encounters heading into this year's visual extravaganza.

Regardless of what transpired, there are many things WWE vicariously told us through some of their segments and matches on Monday Night Raw. What were they? Let's find out.

Here are the 5 biggest things WWE secretly told us on Monday Night Raw.

#1 Bobby Lashley would turn on Lio Rush after losing the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 35

Lashley is getting frustrated
Lashley is getting frustrated

Despite the odds stacked against him in this uninteresting handicap match, Finn Balor came out victorious by pinning Jinder Mahal and earning himself an opportunity against Bobby Lashley's Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania.

Whilst we have seen this happen already, there's a legitimate chance that we could see The All-Mighty turn on Lio Rush after losing the gold to the First-Ever Universal Champion.

Since there are reports of Balor entering The Grandest Stage of Them All as The Demon King, there's no way he wouldn't be walking out of this year's event with the Intercontinental Championship.

Lashley's frustrations coerced him to decimate Jinder Mahal tonight which only suggests that the Intercontinental Champion will do whatever it takes to keep the gold with him and that could be a problem for Lio Rush.

#2 Roman Reigns will be the only Shield member to defeat Drew Mcintyre

This looks very similar to CM Punk Vs. The Shield
This looks very similar to CM Punk Vs. The Shield

Remember the feud between CM Punk and The Shield where The Best in the World coerced The Hounds of Justice to bring the fight to him individually on the red brand.

Punk decimated Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose one-on-one until Roman Reigns defeated him and proved him that he's the guy in The Shield.

This is the same thing WWE could be trying to do here with the former Universal Champion. Whilst Drew Mcintyre has remained very decisive in his role as the antagonist, bringing Reign's family in between could add an element of intrigue in this angle.

There's no denying that Rollins has already defeated Mcintyre before, but the latest storyline demands Reigns to be the only member of The Shield who can destroy The Scottish Terminator.

Considering that the former NXT Champion has already outmatched Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw last week, he could very well be prepared for a Universal Championship bout once he's done with Roman Reigns at the visual extravaganza.

#3 Vince McMahon is happy with the negative reaction Baron Corbin is getting in his match against Kurt Angle

The decision is helping him
The decision is helping him

Whilst there are speculations that WWE is seriously reconsidering Baron Corbin Vs. Kurt Angle at WrestleMania, one has to admit that the decision has helped Corbin get the heat the company wants him to receive.

It's understandable that The Lone Wolf is not necessarily the most compelling heel on the main roster, but Vince McMahon's presentation of him certainly makes him look like an old-school antagonist.

Since he's still scheduled to lock horns with Kurt Angle at The Show of Shows, there's still a genuine possibility that the company could make a last-minute replacement and insert John Cena as his ideal replacement.

Nonetheless, the build-up is genuinely helping Corbin become a more hated superstar on the flagship show, with The Lone Wolf now heading into WrestleMania with considerable momentum after he defeated Apollo Crews tonight on the red brand.

#4 Batista definitely has some creative hold in his feud with Triple H

Is The Game playing by his rules?
Is The Game playing by his rules?

It's undeniable that Triple H's bout with Batista could be one of the most anticipated encounters heading into this year's WrestleMania.

Regardless of The Animal's absence on the red brand, The Game was on fire with his promo tonight. The former WWE Champion received a letter from Batista's lawyer which openly stated that Triple H would have to put his career on the line at this year's visual extravaganza.

Whilst Triple H admitting to put his career on the line certainly adds some intrigue here, one has to wonder whether this was the only way Batista wants to end his career in the WWE.

The Animal has expressed his desire of facing Triple H in his retirement match at WrestleMania in several interviews before and judging by the way this feud has transpired, it certainly seems that The Game is genuinely playing by Batista's rules.

#5 This could be the final time we see Dean Ambrose on Raw

Disappointing
Disappointing

Whilst the Last Man Standing match between Dean Ambrose and Drew Mcintyre was a testament to how good these two are when colliding between the ropes, it's a damn shame that The Lunatic Fringe may no longer be a part of Monday Night Raw.

It's a damn shame that the former WWE Champion has no feud going into WrestleMania and still continues to fight for his brothers on a weekly basis only to be sidelined at the last minute.

It's understandable that Ambrose's fall is a blessing in disguise for Drew Mcintyre who has been very decisive in his role as the antagonist and has continued his reign of terror on the red brand.

However, since there were concrete speculations regarding Ambrose's contractual situation, a new report suggests that this could be the final time we see The Lunatic Fringe compete on Monday Night Raw with a possible appearance at WrestleMania also seeming unlikely now.
