In what was a pretty enjoyable episode after WWE Raw, WWE put their best foot forward and gave us a terrific edition of SmackDown Live.
With fans vehemently criticizing the product that they are receiving from Vince McMahon's billion dollar company, it was nice to see the company giving attention to detail on the blue brand.
Daniel Bryan's current feud with AJ Styles has only begun, with the WWE Champion doing everything he can to gravitate nuclear heat from the fans that adulate him.
A lot of good wrestling happened tonight, especially the tag-team match, where Andrade 'Cien' Almas went on to design his destiny by pinning his biggest idol - Rey Mysterio.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Regardless of everything that happened and everything that is about to happen, there are still a lot of things that WWE secretly tried to tell us vicariously through some of their segments and matches. What were they? Let's find out.
Here are the 5 biggest things WWE secretly told us on SmackDown Live.
#1 The 'New' Daniel Bryan and The 'Real' AJ Styles are neither a heel nor a babyface
If there's a momentous time to applaud these two fine performers, it is now. Both Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles are coercing us to divert our attention towards the blue brand instead of expecting something refreshing from Monday Night Raw.
Both the performers have been successful in garnering attention from the fans, with the 'New' Daniel Bryan obviously drawing nuclear heat for his truthful words. While the company always draws a thin line to define the roles of these characters, there's no way you could assess these two and what they stand for.
The 'Real' AJ Styles was unleashed at the hands of Vince McMahon which led the Phenomenal One to put his hands on his own boss and then going on to earn the right to face the WWE Champion.
Since these two are only concerned with getting the most coveted prize in sports entertainment in their possession, they both are neither a heel nor a babyface today.
Just two performers wanting to beat the hell out of each other and proving that the WWE Championship is still as prestigious as it used to be, earlier.
#2 Shane McMahon and The Miz will be your New Tag-Team Champions
There's no denying that the tag-team division on both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live has become disappointing, even to the point that the fans no longer care.
Considering that the Miz's entertaining act of coercing Shane McMahon to join forces with him could be special, WWE has gone one step ahead to directly present them with a tag-title opportunity.
With the Royal Rumble widely regarded as the time when most of the casual fans divert their attention towards the product, the creative team might be giving them something they can't really digest as well as complain about.
The Miz's alliance with Shane O'Mac could be promising, especially if it leads to either of them transforming their characters with a future opportunity for a match with Daniel Bryan.
Since they have different perspectives about how to run things on the blue brand, there's no way that they would be losing the gold to the Bar at the Royal Rumble.
#3 Andrade 'Cien' Almas will be a Champion sooner or later
Judging by how things transpired tonight on SmackDown Live, Andrade 'Cien' Almas' performance literally outshined a lot of things that happened.
With the Mexican Sensation vowing to prove his mettle on the blue brand, the former NXT Champion had an impressive showing after he defeated Rey Mysterio clean in tonight's star-studded tag-team match.
Since Vince McMahon was always rumored to be a huge admirer of Almas, he might literally push him to the very top of the mountain in 2019. There's no denying that the fans want to see Almas lock horns against Rey Mysterio, with a possible match at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Both competitors bring a lot of respect to Mexico through their elite wrestling skills and were successful in telling a powerful story in the ring whilst excelling in every department.
The 'Canadian Destroyer' certainly shocked the entire WWE Universe and was a thing of beauty in coercing us to believe that things might 'change' on the blue brand.
#4 Carmella was literally inserted in the title picture to take the pin
While most of us predicted it already, Becky Lynch is now confirmed to lock horns with the SmackDown Women's Champion, Asuka, at the Royal Rumble.
The match is set up to be a classic, with both competitors having such strong momentum, especially the Man, Becky Lynch.
However, the company literally tried to tease a lot of things in the triple threat No 1 Contender's match and most of it dealt with their impression of Carmella. It's that time of the year when things really heat up where the fans expect something riveting to transpire as we move on towards the Road to WrestleMania 35.
With Charlotte falling short again, WWE protected her by letting Becky get the best out of Carmella, with the former SmackDown Women's Champion tapping out to the Man.
While the match was pretty intense and received a lot of applause from the fans, Carmella's inclusion in the bout was always to fall down to either of those two eventually.
#5 The previous Royal Rumble winner will go straight to the kick-off this year with Rusev
It's a damn shame that a guy like Shinsuke Nakamura is moving around the blue brand without any momentum whatsoever before the Royal Rumble.
The King of Strong Style is widely admired for his offensive wrestling ability and his undying charisma, but the company haven't really tapped into his potential. The US Championship feud between Rusev and Nakamura is already becoming a bit boring, with the Bulgarian Brute trying 'All things American' to keep the fans in his corner.
While I genuinely admire Rusev's ability to bring something special to the squared circle, his current feud with the former NXT Champion might only make things difficult for both of them.
With the company pushing these two to continue the US Championship feud, it's a sure fact that these two will end up crossing paths again at the Kick-Off show of Royal Rumble.
