Vince blows his quads
The ending to the 2005 WWE Royal Rumble match saw two top stars battling it out to determine the WrestleMania 21 headliner. In the end, both Batista and John Cena landed on the floor at the same time. The original plan was for Batista to eliminate Cena and win the whole thing. As a bunch of officials argued over who had won the match, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon came strutting down to the ring to clear up the confusion.
As he was about to enter the ring, he blew both of his quads. Vince immediately sat down in the ring as soon as the unfortunate incident happened. He was in a lot of pain but didn't let the audience know about the same. The WWE owner quickly told the referees that the match would be restarted between Cena and Batista. The original plan was followed to the T this time around, as Batista eliminated Cena to win the whole thing. Vince somehow managed to leave the ring and head backstage without any assistance.

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
