Remember WWE's recently concluded Japan tour, and how Triple H teamed up with the Club at one of the live events? Was it a sign of things to come?

This storyline could see Triple H being jealous of the fact that Vince McMahon appointed two past rivals, Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman, as Executive Directors of RAW and SmackDown Live, instead of giving the control to him. The Club suddenly begins taking out babyfaces, one after the other.
Finally, Vince confronts the faction and asks about their intentions, which is met with an attack on him, as a grinning Triple H appears on the ramp. He explains how he needs to take control of the company back and the Club will help him do it.
It culminates in a huge match between the Club, and a team consisting of Vince McMahon's hand-picked Superstars, with the winner gaining control of WWE.
