Rusev hasn't won a pay-per-view match since Roadblock 2016.
The Bulgarian Brute Rusev has been in WWE's dog house for quite some time now. He emerged as a breakout superstar in 2014. His credibility was hurt in 2015 due to being defeated by John Cena on multiple occasions.

Although he picked up momentum a number of times after that, it was quickly extinguished. Over the last few years, he has mainly competed on the kick-off shows or on the under-card of pay-per-views.
However, it should be noted that Rusev has not won a pay-per-view match since December 18, 2016's Roadblock event, where he defeated Big Cass by count-out. Since then, Rusev has either missed pay-per-views or has lost his matches. Even his "Rusev Day" gimmick, which was insanely over with the WWE Universe, didn't help much in bringing him up the card.

He is scheduled to team up with Shinsuke Nakamura to take on The New Day's Xavier Woods and Big E tonight. A win over them can definitely catapult Rusev into the Tag Titles picture and end his losing streak at the same time.

Ali Siddiqui is a listicle and feature writer for Sportskeeda Wrestling since 2018. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he decided to write for Sportskeeda Wrestling after learning about it through a friend. He briefly worked for The Sportster as well.
Ali's love for pro wrestling dates back to when Randy Orton won a Battle Royal to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2004. His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
When he is not doing research for his articles on Google or catching up with the latest in pro wrestling, Ali can be found honing his Data Science and AI skills as he strives to get back into tech in the near future.
