Stardust is really entertaining and the charismatic leader of his team.

The Cosmic Wasteland- Much promise in this teamNXT recently crowned new tag team champions and the reaction to it was a little bit different than what happens in the main roster.Yes, that’s what one would think when comparing NXT with the main roster, in NXT, titles mean something. Actually, they mean quite a lot and they just don’t change hands as a matter of experimentation. Every tag team that has held the title has had some or the other memorable moments. On the main roster, titles change hands in mostly exciting matches, but that’s all about it. The tag team division is mostly about fun matches. There’s Nothing beyond that despite all of the talents involved. Here are 5 booking decisions for the tag team division that WWE needs to make

#1 Charismatic Talker

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Now let’s look at the tag team scene in the main roster.

The best and most charismatic talkers are The New Day, Stardust from The Cosmic Wasteland, King Barrett from the team of him and Sheamus, The Dudley Boyz and Titus O’Niel when given the chance from the Primetime Players.

Out of all of them only the Dudley Boyz and Titus are babyfaces. And they’re not given much time on the mic and are being wasted away in not so memorable matches. The heels being the best talkers is great, but they should have equal competitors in that arena as well.

#2 Not catching a break

Enzo Amore and Big Cass have a huge following

Now, if you have charismatic talkers, they can turn into a juggernaut of a babyface team. Then each of their victories and losses will mean something.

You will enjoy their wins and be decimated by their losses. Look at Enzo and Cass at NXT. They are arguably one of the most over acts in pro wrestling history. They are charismatic talkers and they haven’t won the tag team championships yet.

And when they do win it, it will be a moment reminiscent to Bayley or Sami Zayn winning their respective titles. WWE needs a dog in a fight. As in, an underdog team.

#3 A Purpose

One of the last best feuds of the tag team division

Fighting for the tag team titles is fine, but that can’t be the only purpose for a marquee match in the tag team division.

What the division needs is a purpose. The Wyatt Family vs The Shield never happened for the titles, yet it is the most recent example of a great feud. The animosity among the characters should have time to develop enough to consider any clash interesting.

What the tag team division sorely lacks, much like what happens to the divas division mostly, is a storyline/ a motivation/ a purpose worth fighting for. They need to go find one.

#4 Consistency

Returned with a roar

The Dudleys returned out of the blue to target the tag team champs New Day.

While New Day remained entertaining by targeting The Dudleys and their table breaking tactics by calling out support for the trees, The Dudleys said that people find it entertaining. While New day moved ahead and became activists, there was nothing interesting happening with The Dudleys.

While they began on quite a crescendo, it all broke loose later on. Their matches were not great and neither were their interactions later on. By the end of it, the only memorable thing was Xavier Woods’ absence due to being put through a table multiple times.

#5 Strength

When will they reunite?

Now that we’ve talked about finding a purpose other than the tag team title, being charismatic, finding consistency and character development, there is one ingredient still left.

That time with The Dudleys and Edge & Christian was great because we knew what their strengths were. Tables, Ladders and Chairs. With The Shield, we knew that they were each different and they like hounding their opponents in a corner and survive having a numbers game advantage.

With Dash and Dawson at NXT, we know that their opponents knees are in deep trouble. There needs to be some consistent tactic, a certain strength that a team needs to rely on continuously.
