5 Booking Decisions WWE must avoid on Monday Night RAW (19th August 2019)

The Fiend shouldn't be thrust into the main event scene
The Fiend shouldn't be thrust into the main event scene

With last week's Monday Night RAW receiving some tremendous praise from the WWE Universe, the creative team will be ready to advance the narrative for the company's next big PPV - Clash of Champions.

Be it Sasha Banks' blockbuster heel turn or the King of the Ring tournament returning, there's some business to be settled on this week's edition of the flagship show.

Moreover, AJ Styles, the United States Champion, will be seen locking horns with Seth Rollins' rumored opponent for Clash of Champions, Braun Strowman.

Considering that The Phenomenal One is willing to put his title on the line, this match will certainly have the audiences enticed heading into the show.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Simultaneously, the prestigious King of the Ring tournament is back, with sixteen credible superstars from both RAW and SmackDown tussling it out to cement their position in WWE's evergreen history.

With RAW showing such promise last week, these are the 5 decisions WWE must avoid on the Red Brand.

#1 Cedric Alexander losing to Sami Zayn in the King of the Ring tournament

He has the momentum on his side
He has the momentum on his side

On the mic, Sami Zayn may very well be one of the most talented heels on Monday Night RAW, if not the most talented.

However, his character work hasn't assisted him in outshining his opponents within the squared circle, with the former NXT Champion yet to win a singles match ever since his return to the flagship show.

Considering that he will be slugging it out with Cedric Alexander tonight, legions in the WWE Universe have already predicted the outcome of the bout, with many expecting the former Cruiserweight Champion to come out on top.

This is certainly down to the way Zayn has been presented on television. Therefore, if WWE books the two to tussle it out and let them showcase their undeniable athleticism, the two could literally gravitate the right amount of attention.

Both the performers would be willing to put their best foot forward tonight, but it's Cedric Alexander that deserves to walk out of Monday Night RAW as the victor.

Having delivered some fine bouts with Drew Mcintyre, this could be the right way to keep the audiences invested in Alexander moving forward.

#2 Braun Strowman not winning the United States Championship

The Monster Among Men needs a mid-card feud
The Monster Among Men needs a mid-card feud

On paper, there's absolutely no way AJ Styles can walk through Braun Strowman tonight and retain his United States Championship.

However, The Phenomenal One could still use his experience and heel antics to smartly distract the Monster Among Men and strike when the iron's hot.

In spite of the rumors that are swirling around regarding Strowman's alleged clash with Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship, a Champion Vs. Champion match should be avoided at all costs.

With the two clashing for the very first time, Styles cheating to regain his U.S. Championship could also play a perfect factor in continuing this fresh feud.

Strowman is definitely the type of babyface, who could benefit from being in an interesting mid-card feud, with someone as talented and as experienced as AJ Styles.

Judging by the way the Monster Among Men has been booked, this is an absolutely must-win bout for him and would only prove beneficial for him in the longer run.

#3 A heel Sasha Banks not explaining her heinous actions

The Boss needs to come alive tonight
The Boss needs to come alive tonight

Anyone who finds affirmation in watching professional wrestling knows that Sasha Banks is one of the most talented female performers to ever grace the squared circle.

The former RAW Women's Champion possesses all the credentials in her bag that could work very well against Becky Lynch.

Since Banks has now transitioned into a full-fledged heel, her heinous attack on Natalya and The Man will certainly need some explanation tonight.

She definitely has a lot of momentum on her side and her return to the Red Brand will only bring some much-needed refreshment in the women's division.

However, if the creative team do not give us a valid enough reason, the audiences might fail to invest in the entire angle.

The Boss has been absent from television ever since WrestleMania 35 and her savage assaults need to be treated in the most 'legit' way possible.

Banks dropping some truth-bombs and giving Becky Lynch a reality check could prove influential in elevating the intensity in this feud. This has to be personal.

#4 Cesaro and Samoa Joe not getting proper time to tear the house down

Cesaro needs some attention
Cesaro needs some attention

Widely recognized as one of the most underrated Superstars on the main roster, Cesaro is someone who desperately needs to advance ahead in this year's King of the Ring tournament.

However, the schedule of the tournament will see him clash against one of the most destructive forces in WWE, Samoa Joe.

The Samoan Submission Machine certainly has a lot of momentum going in for him, with legions in the WWE Universe expecting a gradual face turn from the Samoan.

With Joe emerging victorious over Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens last week, his confidence and destructive ambitions could coerce Cesaro to fall down to the former United States Champion.

Since Cesaro could tackle Joe's physicality, he definitely needs to be presented strongly. In matches of such stature, the Swiss Superman could literally showcase what he's capable of and take Joe to his absolute limits.

Both the performers getting some credible time between the ropes is a win-win situation for everyone. The fans definitely need some quality wrestling within the squared circle and these two could give the fans what they want.

#5 The Fiend targeting Seth Rollins and his Universal Championship

This needs to be saved for a bigger event
This needs to be saved for a bigger event

Despite the fact that Bray Wyatt's new sadistic side has taken the world of professional wrestling by storm, his character needs to be protected from the top-tier scene.

Putting him straight into the main event, especially in the Universal Championship feud could prove catastrophic for someone like Seth Rollins.

The Architect has been struggling to find his footing on the main roster, with legions in the WWE Universe slowly turning their backs on his current run as the Universal Champion.

Although Rollins has proved his mettle by delivering a cracker against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, he certainly does not need to clash with the Fiend at Clash of Champions.

Even if Vince McMahon wants to keep the spotlight on Wyatt's demonic demeanor, putting him straight into the main event may not prove beneficial for Rollins' run as the Universal Champion.
