5 booking decisions the WWE could make for Paige

Paige was drafted to Raw last week

The one woman who has been more over than the way WWE uses her has been away from the limelight for some time. The resurrection of the Women’s division began at NXT and Paige was right there at the center of all of it, being the most over female performer with her anti-diva gimmick.

That led to her becoming the first NXT Women’s Champion and since then the hall of champions has been embellished with many moments worth remembering. She never lost that title and immediately went on to Raw to a massive push but has been in the backseat since the new regime of NXT women have taken over.

She has been drafted to Raw and here are 5 ways the WWE could book her:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

  1. Winning the Women’s Championship

Lita unveiled the new WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania 32

For a woman who was instrumental in bringing on the NXT Women’s Championship and winning it first, for a woman who won the Divas Championship on her very first night on the main roster a night after WrestleMania – the women’s championship is the one prize that she is yet to capture. The championship was introduced at WrestleMania this year and since then Charlotte held it until she dropped it to Sasha Banks.

Paige is one of the bright young talents the company has and is quite a recognizable figure in the industry. A run with the Women’s Championship will be quite welcome.

  1. New Feuds

Nia Jax had a power-packed debut

Now that the main roster has recruited many talents from NXT, there are brand new opportunities. But with the brand split, the division is greatly thin. With Paige, Raw has Dana Brooke, Nia Jax, Banks and Charlotte as some of the leading ladies. Emma and Nikki Bella may be back on Raw as well.

But with Banks now a defining force in the division and Jax already trying to establish herself, Paige has a few new challenges to look forward to. She already has the credentials and it’s time she gets back to the top of the division again.

  1. Money In The Bank for Women

Paige has been quite vocal about having a MITB ladder match involving the women's division

Paige was one of the first women and possibly the only one who strongly vouched for introducing a Money In The Bank concept for the women. This seemed like quite a great idea since the main roster had the likes of 3 of the NXT four horsewomen, Emma, Daba Brooke, Nikki Bella and more.

This can still work since Raw has less than 10 established female competitors in its roster. Melina may be back but it isn’t clear which brand she’ll be drafted to when she returns.

If the concept does see the light of the day, Paige should be the first one to bring it to the live audience.

  1. Different kinds of matches

Paige's arrival amped up the aggression in main roster matches

Paige’s arrival on the main roster saw a noticeable change in the duration of matches and the styles as well. She did bring more aggression be it as a face or a heel. That did not last very long or have consistency but if there are matches to be defined that greatly helped the division; Paige was in many of them.

That aggression is perfect for the WWE to bring back different gimmick matches. Be it ladder or table matches, Last Woman Standing or cage matches, the girls can hang with the boys.

Paige has always been part of a silent revolution, this can be one of them.

  1. Feud with Stephanie

Stephanie McMahon is a powerhouse of an Authority figure

The 23-year-old from Norwich, England became popular because of her anti-diva gimmick which was massively welcomed in a land where women in WWE were presented as being a certain “type”. She defied that look and her gimmick caught on. All of that was washed away when she came to the main roster as a naïve babyface.

Her anti-hero persona has rarely been allowed to shine. There have been moments but nothing that they continued with.

A feud with an authority figure, that too with the likes of Stephanie McMahon, can bring that back. The women shall have their very own Austin vs. McMahon
