After the Royal Rumble pay-per-view goes off the air, WWE reveals that Daniel Bryan has indeed signed a new contract with them. They have worked the entire wrestling universe, showing that WWE still is the biggest game in town. Two nights later on Smackdown, Daniel Bryan says that he felt amazing when he wrestled for Ring Of Honour and New Japan, but he knows that the WWE is and always will be his home. The Miz comes out and confronts Daniel Bryan, commending him for this game well played. He also says that he will end Bryan's career at the Grandest Stage Of Them All.
Smackdown’s general manager Paige comes out and announces that The Miz will defend his title in an Elimination Chamber Match. This prompts Bryan to laugh and say that he might not even make the WrestleMania card. Miz faces AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Andrade 'Cien’ Almas,
Aleister Black and Randy Orton inside Satan’s playground. Every single one of these challengers would be brilliant foils to the hero that Daniel Bryan is. But of course, the match is won by The Miz, who weasels his way to victory. He and Daniel Bryan are set to go toe-to-toe once again, this time at the biggest stage possible.
