I can't be the only one who thinks that it is a major crime that this match never happened?
Chris Jericho is one of the absolute greatest wrestlers of all time. He was a major star during Lesnar's first WWE run and has continued to be during his second also. Yet somehow, we have never seen this match, and a post-SummerSlam 2016 shoot backstage fight between them just won't cut it.
Chris Jericho himself has openly stated that the original plan was for him to defeat Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33 and then drop it to Brock Lesnar a month later. This would have been quite the program, had it happened.
We do also have a little size difference here, but as we have seen before with AJ Styles, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and CM Punk, that wouldn't stop Brock from having a great match. And as mentioned, Chris Jericho is one of the greatest of all time and can have a solid match with just about anyone. I don't think I am ever going to understand why WWE couldn't have booked this at any point, especially over the last 6 years.
