#4 Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe
Upon Samoa Joe's arrival in WWE in 2015, the WWE Universe was hoping for the TNA original to be called up to the main roster quickly. Also, many thought the Samoan Submission Machine should have debuted on the main roster, just like fellow TNA star AJ Styles did in 2016. The former TNA World Champion won a fatal five-way match at Extreme Rules 2017 to earn a Universal Championship match against the reigning and defending Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.
The buildup to the match at Great Balls of Fire was excellent, and it made Samoa Joe look like the legitimate threat he is to The Beast, by getting the best out him in a pull-apart brawl, along with making the Universal Champion nearly pass out to the Coquina Clutch on the Raw stage. It seemed like Brock Lesnar was more motivated than ever to work with Raw's new top star.
Before the bell rang, the challenger blindsided the champion and hurled him through the Spanish announce table with the urinage. From there, the match was one-dimensional, with Joe trying to do everything he could to force The Beast to pass out to the Coquina Clutch.
After six minutes of German Suplexes and submission spots, The Beast hoisted the Submission Specialist on his shoulders and pinned him with a single F5 to retain. Many were angered at the fact that the main event of a WWE pay-per-view went only six minutes, especially a match of this magnitude.
If Samoa Joe is cleared to have another match, a twenty-minute rematch with The Beast would be a great way to right that wrong.
