#2 Dynamite Kid

Dynamite Kid in the ring
In 2013, Thomas Billington known as Dynamite Kid suffered a stroke

The man who made his WWF debut in 1984 as a tag team partner with Bret Hart, was a huge success in wrestling. After that, he went on to form an infamous tag team with Davey Boy Smith, called the British Bulldogs. The pair peaked at Wrestlemania 2 where he won the WWF Tag Team titles. He was on top of the mountain for a sustained amount of time until he suffered a back injury in 1986.

To further compound his woes, he would also injure his left leg a few years later. His leg would eventually lose functionality, forcing Dynamite Kid to be wheelchair-ridden. Once again in this sad story, the presence of alcohol and drugs is strong and Dynamite Kid’s reliance on them grew as his inability to wrestle crippled his mind. Now he resembles a shell of his former self, regularly spewing out bitter outbursts about wrestling over the net.
