Right now, Buddy Murphy is in a very similar position to the one Kevin Owens was in back in 2015 when he made his RAW debut, and given how talented both men are, this could be a bout that comes in the very near future. Owens is an established star and looking to make his mark now as a babyface, and Murphy is looking to prove himself as a future heel, so the story writes itself, and would be a thriller from every possible angle.

Murphy has shown a fantastic ability to have great matches with smaller guys (Ali, Cedric Alexander and others), but this would be an opportunity to prove that he can wrestle different styles with anyone WWE put in front of him. Despite being a bigger wrestler, Owens can go at any pace, and given Murphy's athleticism, he'd be doing well to keep up here, and this could be another test for Buddy to prove to WWE and the WWE Universe that he is a main event player.
