#4. Justin Bieber was close to having a match in WWE

Justin Bieber is another celebrity who wants to get inside the WWE ring and fight. The pop star nearly had his wish fulfilled seven years ago.

According to former WWE writer Kevin Eck, Bieber wanted to get in the WWE ring and wrestle at WWE SummerSlam 2014. One of the pitched ideas was for him to team up with John Cena and The Big Show to take on Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, the stable that was then known as The Wyatt Family.

WWE scrapped the idea for the match. Paul Wight, a.k.a The Big Show, revealed the reason for that decision during his appearance on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho podcast:

"Years ago I had worked out for one of the SummerSlams in L.A... I had worked out with a very good friend who was working with Scooter Braun and Justin Bieber. It was gonna be John Cena, The Big Show, and Justin Bieber versus The Wyatts at SummerSlam. This deal was really… Bieber was on board, he was excited, he wanted to work out with John and I. This was a really, really big deal. This is when that app first came out, all that other cr*p, you know, and then one of the people that is making decisions said, ‘I just don’t see how Justin Bieber is going to relate to our audience.’ It’s like… does anyone not see the amount of eyes that Justin Bieber would bring to that match?"

WWE offered to help Bieber promote his album but had no interest in fulfilling his wish to wrestle in the ring.
