#1 Make WWE a more sports-oriented show while also focusing on character development

WWE branded their product as Sports Entertainment and not pro wrestling. It is understandable because what we see on television is mostly entertainment and not real wrestling. I know that entertaining segments are required in professional wrestling, but they aren't the only ingredient that needs to be present in WWE.
In many episodes of Raw and SmackDown, Superstars have taken more time in cutting promos or doing a segment than wrestling. This might help WWE to engage with their audience, but it’s also hurting their product. Fans often complain that Raw and SmackDown needs to be like NXT, where the focus is more on wrestling than any other thing. But still, it has provided us some of the best storylines in WWE. Since SmackDown is moving to Fox, it’s expected to become a more sports-oriented program but what about Raw? I’m not saying WWE shouldn’t focus on storytelling; my point is that they should prioritize wrestling more than anything else. Narration can be done with less effort as well, and NXT is an excellent example of it.
