When a clip was released of Big E lifting weights in John Cena's gym almost a decade ago, we felt as if it was only a matter of time before the two squared off.
These days, Big E is still riding high as one of the comedic geniuses behind the overwhelming success of The New Day. While there's still a lot of room for growth in that faction, we do think the time has come for him to spread his wings and test the waters as a singles competitor.
He doesn't necessarily even need to leave the group, either, as we've already seen with the success of Kofi Kingston as WWE Champion.
The power and strength of Big E would match up well with Cena, especially when you consider how scarily agile the two are for their size. There's no denying the fact that it would be a war, and it'd be a brutal one at that, but maybe it's exactly the kind of rub that Big E needs.
