#2 The Two Man Power Trip
After Stone Cold Steve Austin’s heel turn at the end of Wrestlemania X-Seven, he had a rematch against The Rock in a Steel Cage match. When Vince McMahon interfered on behalf of The Texas Rattlesnake yet again, Triple H of all people charged to the ring.
While the fans went berserk expecting an alliance between The Great One and The Game, they were shocked beyond belief when Triple H instead took out Rocky to align himself with Stone Cold instead.
It’s one of the best swerves in professional wrestling history and the two men – now called The Two Man Power Trip – would dominate the WWE landscape holding on to the WWF Championship (Stone Cold), The Intercontinental Championship (Triple H), as well as the Tag Team Championships.
Unfortunately, Hunter’s knee injury during a match brought this association to a premature end.
