#1 Sheamus and Drew McIntyre are best friends

Another man Drew McIntyre is extremely fond of is The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. The Irishman signed with WWE right before McIntyre did, but the two men had already competed on the independent circuit before that.

McIntyre has explained how the two men have a brotherly relationship that has kept them very close for almost two decades now.

"It would be Sheamus over there. Him and I go way back to when I was about 18, 19 years old, he was about 43. He was a little bit older (laughs). We've got that big brother, little brother relationship. We both get signed in the same day, came to America together, developmental together. The night I won the IC title, he won the heavyweight title. Obviously his career ascended from there, mine went on the down slope until I got fired. I returned, he'd come down a little bit and then I exploded into the main event scene while he's still trying to find his way back there. I think there's a very interesting jealous older brother with little brother storyline that's got a lot of real footage, a lot of real depth that fans would get behind, especially Scotland versus Ireland beating the crap out of each other. That would be great. We could definitely do that one in the bar again."

Sportkeeda’s Gary Cassidy had the chance of interviewing Sheamus before McIntyre and Brock Lesnar collided for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36, and The Celtic Warrior picked his friend as the favorite to win the match.

"I might be biased here but obviously Drew McIntyre’s been doing great on RAW now. I really like him. He’s a big lad, he’s a strong lad. I started in the business with him. He started before me but I got in there with him about 2005 I think it was and we’ve been best mates since then."

Sheamus and McIntyre have known each other for over 15 years now, and it’d be great to see them have a big rivalry on RAW or SmackDown before either one calls it a day.
