Morrison and Valkyrie have technically faced off

John Morrison recently made his return to WWE after more than eight years to re-align himself with The Miz and earn himself a Tag Team Championship match in Saudi Arabia against The New Day.

When Morrison was last seen in WWE, he was in a relationship with former WWE star Melina, the couple separated in 2015 and now Morrison is married to Impact star Taya Valkyrie.

The couple met as part of the wrestling business and have performed together in both Impact and Lucha Underground, whilst Valkyrie isn't currently part of WWE with her partner, it's only a matter of time before she opts to jump ship as well, even though it's reported that Valkyrie signed a two year deal with the company back in 2019.

Much like Mike and Maria Kanellis, John Morrison took advantage of the fact that his girlfriend was the 24/7 Championship holder back in 2016 when the couple were in Lucha Underground and he pinned Taya in her own dressing room to become the new DDT Pro Wrestling Ironman HeavyMetalweight Champion.

This isn't the only time the couple has faced off, since Morrison revealed to Sportskeeda's Daniel Wood that Valkyrie had beaten him in the past when the couple took part in the first ever husband vs wife match.
