Baron Corbin has always been a great heat magnet while in WWE. His 'Lone Wolf' persona was perhaps his best, but it was also his first. Since his initial run, Corbin has played several parts.
He has been the Constable of RAW, King Corbin, Poor Corbin, and now Happy Corbin. The fact that he has changed characters yet is always a regular on TV speaks to the idea that officials love his versatility.
The End of Days finisher is also one of the most protected finishers in WWE. Corbin could have been a WWE or Universal Champion during his Lone Wolf run, but other factors prevented that from happening.
Before this new 'Happy' version, Corbin won the US title, King of the Ring, and Money in the Bank. If he wasn't a favorite of Mr. McMahon, he wouldn't have any of those accolades.
The Happy Corbin act might be hard to take for a few weeks, but he gets heat from the crowd. It's his job and he does it extremely well. It's also why he is always on TV regularly.
