Matt Riddle came to WWE following a stint with the UFC, much like former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. It makes sense that the former MMA star would want to work with Lesnar in WWE and even claimed that he wanted to be the one to retire the former World Champion.

Riddle had already caused a few issues with fellow WWE star Goldberg on social media before be began tagging Brock Lesnar into his tweets, likely in hopes that he could build up a match with the former UFC Champion.

This all came to a head at The Royal Rumble in January when Lesnar and Riddle crossed paths backstage and the former WWE Champion was able to get his point across.

According to TalkSPORT, Lesnar told Riddle:

"Kid, you might as well stop saying my name and tagging me in sh-t because you and I will never work together. Ever.”

Riddle wanted to get in the ring with Lesnar during The Royal Rumble match. Ultimately, that didn't happen and it appears that The Beast was able to get his point across.
