Goldberg is one of the few veteran WWE Superstars who are still active in-ring competitors. While there's no denying the aura of dominance and stardom that Goldberg brings with him, his matches and in-ring skills have been highly criticized in the last few years.

Even in the early phase of his career, Goldberg was considered to be dangerous inside the ring. Appearing on Stone Cold Steve Austin's Broken Skull Sessions, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart claimed Goldberg to be one of the most unprofessional wrestlers in the business.

"I just wish some of the wrestlers I worked with, especially in the end, like Goldberg... Goldberg, to me, was one of the most unprofessional wrestlers there was in the business. He hurt everyone he ever worked with. You might as well wrestle a real gorilla. He was the most dangerous guy to work with, he hurt everyone he worked with."

Current United States Champion Riddle has also taken many shots at Goldberg for his in-ring abilities. After Goldberg's match against The Undertaker at WWE Super ShowDown 2019, Riddle took a dig at the former Universal Champion through a Twitter post.
