The former Divas Champion did not experience any hardship growing up. She went to Bishop Carroll High School and trained to become a wrestler at her family's Dungeon.
After graduating from high school in 2000, Natalya kicked off her professional wrestling career. In an interview with Online World of Wrestling in 2005, the former SmackDown Women's Champion disclosed that her family was supportive of her decision to become an in-ring competitor.
"My family was pretty supportive because they know that I am very sensible. My dad was a bit reluctant to support me at first because he knows how hard this business can be and he doesn't want to see me get hurt... I was also able to see that getting into this business was not an easy road to follow," she said.
Natalya competed on the independent circuit for nearly seven years before joining WWE in 2007. Since then, she has become one of the top female wrestlers in the company. Over the past 14 years, she has won the WWE Divas Championship, SmackDown Women's Championship, and Women's Tag Team Titles alongside Tamina.
The Queen of Harts is currently active on WWE SmackDown. She last competed on the Blue Brand last month when she teamed up with Shayna Baszler against Sasha Banks and Naomi.
