The Rock made his first WWE appearance in three years when he appeared on last year's SmackDown 20th anniversary show. There, he shared the stage with Becky Lynch, and the two attacked King Corbin at that show.
Just a few hours prior to his appearance on SmackDown, The Rock was challenged to a match by Randy Orton, who wanted the two to face off at WrestleMania 36 in 2020.
The Rock responded a few days later, but it wasn't the response that Orton was hoping for. He declined this match as he said that he didn't want to get RKO'd and that his body was still recovering from the beating that Evolution had given him at WrestleMania 20.
Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton faced The Rock and Mick Foley at WrestleMania 20 in a handicap match, and Evolution came out victors in that match. The two WWE legends, though, have never had a singles match in WWE, which is a pity, considering they are and were two big names in WWE.
