We are fast approaching Royal Rumble 2025, where top WWE Superstars will battle it out for a shot, which will be the biggest prize in the men's and women's divisions. The epic 30-person match has witnessed many splendid performances, with a handful of names deservedly earning the Ironman/IronWoman title.
However, a few also suffered humiliating eliminations in record time. Here, we look at five current WWE Superstars who lasted less than ten seconds in the Royal Rumble match. So, without further ado, let's begin.
#1. Liv Morgan - 8 seconds (WWE Royal Rumble, 2019)
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
The reigning Women's World Champion, Liv Morgan, is no stranger to the iconic Women's Royal Rumble battle. She has competed in the namesake matches since its inaugural edition in 2018. However, there is one that she would want fans to forget.
In 2019, Morgan was the first superstar to be eliminated from the Royal Rumble match after lasting only 8 seconds inside the ring. It was Natalya who sent Morgan flying with her first maneuver. She would make a strong comeback in the years that followed with the joint record for most finishes in second place, tied with Charlotte Flair at two.
#2. Chelsea Green - 5 seconds (WWE Royal Rumble, 2023)
Two years ago, Chelsea Green made a memorable return to WWE. She was unveiled as a surprise entrant in the Women's Royal Rumble match, where she entered at No. 20. However, she was shockingly eliminated in just five seconds by Rhea Ripley, who would later go on to win the match.
Green was livid with the decision, staying true to her on-screen character. The following year, she was again eliminated by the eventual winner, Bayley. However, she lasted over 17 minutes this time before going over the top rope. Fast forward to 2025, and Green is now headed towards the Royal Rumble as the inaugural Women's United States Champion in WWE.
#3. JD McDonagh - 3 seconds (WWE Royal Rumble, 2024)
Another member of The Judgment Day with an infamous Royal Rumble record to their name is JD McDonagh. The former one-half of World Tag Team Champion had a night to forget at Royal Rumble last year. It was when R-Truth considered himself a part of the heel faction and was in constant conflict with McDonagh.
In a shocking turn of events, former NXT Champion Bron Breakker hit JD with two devastating Spears outside the ring. Still dazed from the impact, McDonagh spoke with R-Truth, agitated over the latter's interferences, and Truth responded by tossing the Judgment Day member inside the ring.
There, a fired-up Jey Uso was waiting, and he clotheslined JD over the top rope, making his only elimination in the match. It also marked McDonagh's only appearance in the Men's Royal Rumble match, leaving him desperate to give a better showing when he gets the next chance.
#2. Xavier Woods - 3 seconds (WWE Royal Rumble, 2019)
Xavier Woods fell victim to an embarrassing record in the Royal Rumble when he crossed paths with Drew McIntyre in the 2019 edition of the 30-man bout. The New Day member was called early into action as he helped save Kofi Kingston from getting eliminated.
Woods pushed the former world champion back inside the ring and joined him shortly. However, McIntyre promptly clotheslined the duo over the top rope, marking Woods' 3-second-long appearance inside the squared circle.
#1. Sheamus - 2 seconds (WWE Royal Rumble, 2018)
Sheamus is the only person on this list who has won the Royal Rumble before. Yet, he also has an under-10-second elimination to his name that dates back to 2018. He was the 11th entrant in the match and crossed paths with Heath Slater on the ramp, who every superstar was attacking as they made their way to the ring.
Sheamus decided to toss Slater inside the ring before entering through the ropes himself. However, the move backfired as Slater managed to get back on his feet and clotheslined the Celtic Warrior off the top rope even as soon as the latter found his footing. This was the second fastest elimination in Royal Rumble history, only behind Santino Marella, who still holds the record at 1 second.
