#1 Roman Reigns
Many fans have been waiting for WWE to turn Roman Reigns heel, even though technically The Big Dog was a bad guy when he made his main roster debut alongside The Shield back in 2012.
Reigns has become the star that WWE has backed for the push to the top, much like John Cena before him, huge things were expected of Roman Reigns and it's hard to argue that he hasn't delivered.

Reigns would be the Universal Champion at present if COVID-19 hadn't forced plans to change and he would have defeated Goldberg in order to win the title, completing his babyface climb once again.
Even after defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania, Reigns was not considered to be a heel, despite being booed out of buildings all around the world and still continued to portray a face character. This shows that WWE has no plans to change Reigns' character any time soon.
When Reigns makes his return, it will be interesting to see who the Universal Champion is and if he is able to reclaim his title.
