Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has grown to become a serious player on Monday Night RAW in the past twelve months.
The Scottish Warrior won the 2020 Men's Royal Rumble match before going on to win his first WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 36 Night Two. By defeating Brock Lesnar for the title, McIntyre instantly turned himself into a main event player.
McIntyre went on to hold the WWE Championship for the majority of 2020. This included several successful championship defenses against the likes of Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg.
Whilst Drew McIntyre lost the WWE Championship to The Miz at Elimination Chamber 2021, The Scottish Warrior is still ever-present on Monday Night RAW. An argument can even be made that he is still the top babyface star on the brand right now.
With that being said, Drew McIntyre certainly possesses the look and ability to crossover into mainstream television and film productions. Can he become a star the size of The Rock? Only time will tell.
