One current WWE Superstar who has tried his best to grab the attention of Brock Lesnar and get a match with The Beast is Matt Riddle. Riddle, who was recently promoted to SmackDown from NXT, has spoken time and again about wanting to "retire" Brock Lesnar, and have a match with The Beast in WWE.

In an interview earlier this year, he said that he did not mean to be disrespectful towards Lesnar and said that it's been Matt Riddle's goal since he started wrestling to face The Beast.

“Brock Lesnar misunderstood what I was saying. I said I want to retire you, It’s been my goal since I started wrestling. It is because in my head it was that I would become a legend in the process. It just happens that I am still going and the match might actually happen. That’s it, bro. And Brock took that a little sideways. There’s nothing personal, it’s just business."

But, Matt Riddle may never get that match against Lesnar as he revealed that Lesnar and his advocate, Paul Heyman, told him in no uncertain terms that he would never ever get a match with Brock Lesnar.
