WWE's ticket sales have been a hot button topic lately. Fans have been taking photos of sections filled with empty seats that the company cleverly hide using strategic camera work and even by moving people around and spreading them out.
It's nothing new though and likely not something that WWE are panicking about. The wrestling business naturally has more popular and less popular periods. Plus WWE just announced their best quarter ever, so it's clearly not having that much of an impact.
Over the years though there have clearly been stars that have drawn more fans than others. Superstars whose presence on a card alone will sell a lot of tickets. Which five Superstars on the current roster do that better than anyone else in WWE?

#5 Triple H
Triple H is without question destined to not only be in WWE's Hall of Fame once he retires from in-ring competition, but also to be attached to the company for the rest of his life. When Vince McMahon passes away or passes the torch it will be to The Game.
No one understands the ins and out of the business quite like The King of Kings. His success with NXT may suggest that he is even more clued in nowadays than his father-in-law. As he demonstrated on WWE's most recent UK tour he also knows what sells tickets.
Due to Roman Reigns being sidelined with a virus WWE needed a big name to replace him on the tour. Triple H quite rightly inserted himself into that spot. There are not many names bigger than his and if there were tickets left over, Triple H's addition to the card likely changed that.
#4 Roman Reigns
Like him or not, Roman Reigns is currently at the top of the WWE pile and he's going nowhere fast. The Big Dog has headlined the last three WrestleManias and is already a three time WWE Champion.
Most believe that WWE's continued push of Roman isn't going to plan. The truth is those who believe that are sorely mistaken. It's no coincidence that the company just enjoyed their most successful quarter ever and Reigns continues to be featured in high profile matches and angles.
Harking back to the previous entry, it's also no coincidence that WWE had to pull out the big guns to replace Roman on the recent UK tour by calling on Triple H. They know that a lot of fans bought tickets to see Roman Reigns and needed a special attraction to make up for him not being there.
#3 AJ Styles
The rise of AJ Styles in WWE has been absolutely phenomenal, pun very much intended. It's hard to believe that at the time of typing this the current WWE Champion hasn't even been with the company for two years yet.
The way the fans react to him you would have thought that Styles had been a WWE Superstar for his entire career. Every week on SmackDown Live AJ emerges to a massive pop and he is by far the most loved Superstar on the blue brand.
His value to WWE and ability to sell tickets is being demonstrated as we speak. Clearly, Brock Lesnar versus Jinder Mahal at Survivor Series just wasn't doing it for the fans. Lesnar versus Styles, on the other hand is a dream match waiting to happen.
#2 John Cena
A common point of discussion between wrestling fans is which Superstars from throughout the business's history would make it on to their own personal Mount Rushmore. When the raw facts are laid out in front of you it's hard to argue that John Cena shouldn't be a large part of that conversation.
The 16 time World Champion has been with WWE for so long and been on top through so many eras that even those who hate him can't deny his success. Even the likes of Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold didn't enjoy a run as long as Cena's.
Even nowadays fans flock to arenas to see John Cena. Half the crowd may chant he sucks while the other half yell lets go Cena but without question, a show with Big Match John on is unquestionably a much bigger deal than one without.
#1 Brock Lesnar
Previous entry John Cena and Brock Lesnar actually broke into the WWE scene at the same time and were even a part of the same class in OVW. Even though they started together and still wrestle today, their paths from that point to now have been very different.
While Cena has remained a constant in WWE, The Beast Incarnate left for eight years to explore other ventures. Lesnar had a crack at becoming a football player and also enjoyed a very successful spell as a UFC star. When he returned to WWE in 2012 though it was clear that he hadn't been forgotten.
Cena was in the ring the night after Wrestlemania XXVIII and the fans were chanting Lesnar's name. Ever since then WWE has quite rightly treated him as their big ticket item. They can rest assured that any show Brock is advertised to appear at will sell a lot of tickets.
