The Authors of Pain have dominated NXT’s tag team division since their arrival

Although still young in their careers, Akam and Rezar of the Authors of Pain have impressed and have shown that they can hang with the likes of The Revival and DIY down in NXT, where they currently sit at the top of the tag team division as the reigning NXT Tag Team champions.

Thus far, neither man has shown any potential of breaking out as singles stars and it is probably in both their best interests to remain as a tag team and continue to improve as a dominant and destructive unit.

Putting Akam and Rezar with legendary tag team manager, Paul Ellering, has helped them significantly and given them some much-needed credibility. However, a few years down the line, it may be better to freshen up their act by having AOP turn on Ellering, rather than each other.

There are not many big man tag teams in WWE right now, so the Authors of Pain should look to fill that void on the main roster instead of chasing individual success.
