As if all that wasn't enough to get behind McIntyre, he also has quite the underdog storyline going on right now. In fact, between being let go by the company multiple times, getting stuck in dead end gimmicks like 3MB and getting opportunity after opportunity taken from him, a Royal Rumble victory would be a defining moment.
If nothing else, McIntyre winning the Royal Rumble is the christening moment he deserves and he has the record to back that up. Just think back to how he annihilated Matt Hardy, destroyed Akira Towzawa and demolished countless other Superstars in his quest to prepare for the Royal Rumble.
If these matches are any indication of what McIntyre can do to the human body, then every other Superstar that enters that match should be very cautious about picking a fight with him.
