Cesaro is a former WWE U.S. Champion
Much to the surprise of many fans, Cesaro has won just one singles championship throughout his WWE career so far. The Swiss Superman has only had the opportunity to hold the United States Championship and is yet to win any other singles title.

Look at that smile on Cesaro's face. He's so thrilled to finally be getting the #Wrestlemania match he has long deserved. Also great reaction for him! pic.twitter.com/7WgvOdqbsa
While fans have been pleading for Cesaro's world championship run for years now, the perfect way to hype up the former U.S. Champion would be to have him challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
The Intercontinental Championship often represents the workhorse of the company and who better than Cesaro to fill in for such a role in WWE?
On Night Two of WrestleMania 37, Big E will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews in a Nigerian Drum Fight.
There is a chance for Apollo to become the new titleholder. If that turns out to be the case, the scenario sets itself up perfectly with a feud between the heel Apollo and the babyface Cesaro for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
